Biography
Khoi Dinh was born in 2001 in the USA. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music studying the flute with Denis and Erin Bouriakov at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music under the comprehensive, merit-based Falk/Columbo Memorial Scholarship. He is a graduate of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) and alumnus of the Colburn School, where he studied with James Walker.
Additionally, he attended the Nice International Music Academy (Nice, France) in the studios of Philippe Bernold and Vincent Lucas and the Orford Music Academy (Quebec, Canada) in the studios of Denis Bluteau, Robert Langevin, and Alexa Still. He’s a recipient of a scholarship from the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities held by the academy.

Khoi has received the Jack Smith Memorial Award for Most Promising Young Talent from the “Pasadena Showcase House Instrumental Competition”, is a 2018-2020 “National YoungArts Foundation” winner in classical music, finalist on NPR’s “From the Top”, winner of the 2020 “UCLA All-Star Competition” and two-time 1st prize winner of the “Rotary Club Music Competition”.
Khoi has performed with ensembles such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel, the American Youth Symphony and the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America/NYO2, through which he appeared in Carnegie Hall’s Isaac Stern Auditorium and presented several concerts in Taiwan, China and Korea with Michael Tilson Thomas and Giancarlo Guerrero.
Khoi has received scholarships to study at the Aspen Music Festival and School and Domaine Forget Academy.
