Biography
Emil Laternser was born in Liechtenstein in 2004 and received his first piano lessons at the age of seven at the Liechtenstein Music School. There he was taught and prudently encouraged by Alesh Puhar. In 2019, he moved to the Vorarlberg State Conservatory in the class of the Swiss pianist Benjamin Engeli. At the same time, he attended the music high school in Feldkirch.
Master classes with Milana Chernyavska, Tobias Schabenberger and Gerhard Vielhaber gave further important impetus to his education. He is also a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities there.

Emil has already received several awards at national and international competitions in Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. Among other things, he won the Swiss "Music Competition Laupersdorf" in 2018 and the 1st prize at the "Concorso Internazionale Giovani Musicisti - Premio Antonio Salieri" in Legnago (Italy). In 2019, he played his first recital at the TAK Theater Liechtenstein as part of the “PODIUM Concerts” and received the 1st prize for his artistic performance. In the same, year he took part in the state competition “Prima la Musica Plus” with excellent success and thus qualified for the national competition. In addition to other prizes, he received a 1st prize in the final of the "Swiss Youth Music Competition" in May 2021.
