Biography

Eva Gevorgyan was born in 2004 and is currently studying the piano with Prof. Natalia Trull at the Central Music School in Moscow. 

She received further inspiration from master classes with Pavel Gililov, Andrea Bonatta and Piotr Paleczny. She also received an invitation from the International Piano Academy Lake Como, where she took part in a master class with Dmitri Bashkirov, Stanislav Ioudenitch and William Grant Naboré. She is also a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and regularly takes part in the intensive weeks and other activities there.

The young pianist has received awards at more than 40 international piano and composition competitions in Germany, Estonia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Spain, the Czech Republic and in the USA, including the “Cliburn Junior International Piano Competition” (USA, Texas, 2nd prize and special and press prize), “Chicago International Music Competition” (USA, Chicago, Grand Prix and special prize for the best Chopin interpretation), “St. Cecilia International Piano Competition” (Portugal, 1st prize), “Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists” (Cleveland / USA, 1st prize, special prize for the best Bach interpretation and prize of the Canton Symphony Orchestra), “Grand Piano Competition” (Moscow/Russia, winner and 5 special prizes), “Robert Schumann Competition” (Düsseldorf/Germany, 1st prize), “International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth” (Szafarnia/Poland, 1st prize), international piano competition “Giuliano Pecar” (Gorizia/Italy, Grand Prix) and “Junior Academy Eppan” (Eppan/Italy, Junior Prize). In 2019 she was honored with the “Discovery Award” at the “International Classical Music Awards”. 

In 2019 she gave a solo recital at the Albert Hall (London, Great Britain). Eva took part in numerous festivals such as the Verbier Festival (Switzerland), the Mariinsky International Piano Festival (Russia), the Duszniki International Chopin Piano Festival (Poland), the Festival Stars on Baikal Lake by Denis Matsuev (Russia), the VP Bank Classic Festival (Switzerland), “Stars of the White Nights” (Russia) and the Eilat Chamber Music Festival (Israel), Perugia Piano Festival (Italy), Klassik vor Acht (Germany), Chopin Piano Fest (Serbia), Ferrara Piano Festival (Italy), Alto Adige Festival (Italy), ClaviCologne Festival (Germany), Alion Baltic Festival (Estonia), New Names Festival (Armenia), Elena Cobb Star Prize Festival (Great Britain), Fraenkische Musiktage Alzenau Festival (Germany). 

Eva has performed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra Evgeny Svetlanov, the Armenian National Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, the Malta Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, the Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra, the Virtuosi Brunensis Orchestra, the NRW Chamber Orchestra and the Astana Symphony Orchestra. She has worked together with conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Alexander Sladkovsky, Vasily Petrenko, Lawrence Foster, Eduard Topchjan, Dimitris Botinis, Gerhardt Zimmermann, Piotr Gribanov, Tigran Hakhnazaryan, Ruth Reinhardt, Anatoly Levin, Ilmar Lapinsh, Azim Karimov, Ovidiu Balan, Gaddiel Dombrowner and Tigran Shiganyan. 

Eva receives a grant from Denis Matsuev's “New Names” Foundation, the YerazArt Foundation, the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation and the Armenian Assembly.
