Biography

Emin Kiourktchian was born in Spain in 2004. He comes from a family with a broad musical tradition. He began his piano studies at a young age with his mother, the pianist Larisa Tedtoeva, and continued at the Professional Conservatory of Music "Zyriab Musician" in Cordoba, where he studied with Professor Ramon Cabanillas and later with Professor Luis Tomas. 

He attended courses with renowned pianists, including Luis Fernando Perez, Boris Berman and Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Millena Molova (Emil Gilels' student) and Evgeny Kisin. He is also a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks there. 

Emin is the winner of various competitions. In 2015 he won the 1st “Ex Aequo Prize” at the Presjovem International Music School in Cordoba, in 2016 the 1st prize at the “VI Concurso Nacional de Jóvenes Intérpretes América Martínez” and the 1st prize at the 3rd International Piano Competition for Young Talents “Julio Garcia Casas “of the city of Seville. Also in 2016, Emin won the 1st prize in the Rafael Orozco piano competition and the 1st prize in the international Rotary Club Marbella competition. In 2017 he won the 1st prize and the special prize for the interpretation of a work by Bach at the international competition "Little Big Pianists" in Sigüenza and received two awards at the finals of the international competition "Piano Cordoba" as well as a scholarship to study at Amadeus Music and Arts Academie in Vienna.

Despite his young age, Emin gave several concerts in Andalusia and participated in numerous festivals. In 2017 he appeared as a soloist with the Murcia Chamber Orchestra as part of the Young Talents at the Villa de Molina Theater in Murcia. Among other things, he played as a soloist with the Malaga Philharmonic under Manuel Hernandez Silva, with the Castelar Symphony Orchestra, the Neue Philharmonie Hamburg and the Vladicaucaso Philharmonic. In 2018 he took part in the international summer festival "Orpheus in Vienna".
