Biography
Shira Fuchs studies under the guidance of Mrs. Svetlana Abram and Prof. Sergey Ostrovsky, and performs regularly with the Ra’anana Youth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Prof. Guy Porat. Shira’s performance journey has taken her across Israel and abroad. She has appeared as a soloist with both the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra (2023, 2025) and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (2023), and performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall (2024). She was featured at Keshet Eilon’s Gala concerts in Israel and New York (2024), and took part in the Perlman Program for Outstanding Musicians (2025), as well as the Musica Mundi summer courses in Belgium (2023–2024), performing in both solo and chamber music. Since 2022, she has also been a frequent participant in Keshet Eilon seminars. Shira has received international recognition, winning prizes in various national and international competitions.
She won 1st prize in the annual "Musical Spring" and "Young Virtuoso" competitions held in Ra'anana (2018-2020), as well as 1st prize at the Keshet Eran national competition (2023), the Gold Prize at the London Young Musician Competition (2023), and the Violinist of the Year Award and Annual Maestro Violin Performance at the London Young Musician of the Year competition (2023). She also earned 1st place in the VIII Stockholm International Music Competition (2021) and the Concert Artists International Competition (2024).
Shira is a recipient of the AICF's "Exceptional Unique Excellence" scholarship since 2023 and plays a violin generously lent to her by Zisapel foundation.
