Biography

Henning Felde Haldorsen is a violinist from Bergen, Norway, with a rapidly developing solo career. Raised in a musical family, he began playing the violin at the age of five, with Kari Knudsen and Per Gisle Haagenrud as his teachers in Bergen.
Henning currently studies with Stephan Barratt-Due and Alf Richard Kraggerud in Oslo. He also regularly studies with Professor Latica Honda-Rosenberg in Berlin and Liechtenstein, and Professor Robin Wilson in London.
Since 2024, he has been a scholarship recipient at the Music Academy in Liechtenstein, where he regularly participates in study weeks. He also holds scholarships from the talent development programmes at Valdres International Academy and the Young Musician Academy (YOMA) in Sweden.
In 2024, Henning won First Prize and the Grand Prize at Norway’s national Midgard Competition. In 2025, he won First Prize at the international Young Musician competition in Tallinn, Estonia, and has been invited to return in 2027 to perform as a soloist with orchestra.
In 2026, he received the Eilif and Daughter Besse Gunstrøm Memorial Grant.
Henning has appeared at several Norwegian festivals as a featured artist, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. In June 2026, he gave a solo recital at the Bergen International Festival. He has also performed as a soloist with orchestras on several occasions, both in Norway and in Tallinn.
He has participated in numerous international masterclasses and music academies, including the Valdres Summer Symphony and the Astona International Summer Academy, where he performed at the closing gala concert in 2026.
Since 2025, Henning has played a violin on loan from the Norwegian Dextra Foundation.
