Biography
With a spanish father and a norwegian mother, Frida Jensen began her violin studies with her mother Ingrid Jensen; and later on with Anna Baget in Madrid and Alf Richard Kraggerud in Oslo. 2021 she was admitted to the YOMA-Young Musicians Academy program. She also participates in Gnist Program (Norway). She has participated in master classes with Latina Honda, Gregory Kalinowsky, Leticia Moreno, Jesús Reina, Alejandro Bustamante and Koh G. Kameda.
She has been awarded various awards for both soloist and chamber music: first prize for chamber music “Lorenzo Palomo” (2019, 2022 and 2023), first prize for the Juventudes musicales chamber music competition “Ciudad de Ávila” (2023 ), first prize for violin “Kieler Instrumentalwettbewerb” (2022 and 2023), second prize for soloist in the “Visitación Magarzo Competition" (2022 and 2024), first prize for chamber music in the “Visitación Magarzo” Competition (2023), first prize “Guadix Musical Competition” (2022), second prize in the “Ogíjares Young Performers Competition” (2022), first price in “Málaga string competition”, second prize in the “América Martínez” National Young Performers Competition (2023) and first prize in the “Corda Cidade de Vigo Competition”, first price in “Midgard konkurranse” (2025) and first price in "Concurso Sant Anastasi" (2025). She moved to Oslo in august 2025 to continue her musical training at Barrat Due Musikkinstitutt (unge talenter).
