Biography

Sang Hyeok Park was born in 2004 in South Korea. 2016 he entered the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts. He studied cello at the Korean National University of Art and currently, he’s attending the third year at the Yewon Arts University. 

He receives a scholarship from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and participates in the intensive music weeks and activities held there.

Sang has won several national and international competitions, including the “Yookyoung Music Competition” in 2015, the “Korea Herald Competition” and the “Seoul National Orchestra Competition”. In 2016, he won the 1st prize in the “International Music Competition” and in 2017 in the “Korea Chamber Music Competition”. He also won the Special Prize in the “Peace Broadcasting Music Competition” in the same year. In 2018, he won the 1st prize in the “Ewha & Kyungyang Newspaper Company Music Competition” and was named as active player at the Kronberg Academy in Germany. In 2019, he won the 1st prize in the “Dong-A Newspaper Company Music Competition” and played a recital for the Kumho Asiana Group in South Korea.
