Biography

Muzi Li was born in 1998 in China. She’s currently studying the piano at the University of Arts Berlin with Prof. Markus Groh.

She has participated in masterclasses of such distinguished teachers and performers as Alfred Brendel, Pavel Gililov, Michel Béroff, Arie Vardi, Jacques Rouvier, Boris Berman, James Giles, Ian Jones, Hortense Cartier-Bresson and Robert Levin. She’s a scholarship holder of the Music Academy of Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy.

Muzi has won prizes at many prestigious competitions, most recently the 1st prize and the “Expressive Performance Prize” at the “Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition” 2023 in Austria and the 1st prize at the “Orbetello Piano Competition International” in Italy. She also received the 1st prize and the audience’s choice prize at the “5th Francesco Cardaropoli International Music Competition” and the 1st prize at the “Mimas Festival International Piano Competition” in 2023, combined with a special scholarship award sponsored by Krause Musical Instrument Co. Ltd. She also won the 1st prize at the “15th International Competition Giovani Musicisti - Città di Treviso” in Venice, among many others.

This past season, Muzi has performed extensively in Europe. She has given performances at such prominent venues as at the Solitär performance hall (Mozarteum University) in Salzburg, the Manuel de Falla Auditorium in Madrid and the Santa Margherita Nuova in Naples.
