Biography

Uroš Adamovic was born in 2004 in Serbia. He began playing the violin at the age of nine and is currently a student of Milica Mladenovic at the School for Musically Gifted Children in Cuprija, as well as a student of Vesna Stankovic-Moffatt at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, where he also studied with Giovanni Guzzo. 

He has participated in masterclasses and collaborated with several great musicians, among others with Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Alexander Pavlovsky, Kristóf Baráti, Grigory Kalinovsky and Nemanja Radulovic. He’s also a scholarship holder of the Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities held by the academy.

Uroš is the winner of numerous national and international music awards, such as the absolute 1st prize of the “Serbian State Competition” and the special prize of the “EMCY International Competition for Young Musicians Ohrid Pearls”. 

He has performed throughout Europe in venues and festivals such as the Golden Hall of Wiener Musikverein, Stefaniensaal – Congress Graz, Ljubljana Festival, Great Hall of Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade, Stift Festival Musical Encounters in the Netherlands, the ArtLink Festival as well as the Verbier Festival.

Uroš has also performed chamber music with such diverse artists as Daniel Rowland, Anna Tifu, Maja Bogdanovic, Dana Zemtsov, Olivier Thiery, Giorgio Mandolesi, Anthony Hewitt and Aimo Pagin. 

In 2022, he made his debut as a soloist with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra in Prague. 

Currently, Uroš plays an Urs Mächler violin.
