Maximilian Eisenhut

Biography

Maximilian was born on January 10, 2006, into a musical family. He began his viola lessons with Markus Kessler and piano lessons with Nora Calvo-Smith at the Feldkirch Music School at an early age. He received his first top prizes at "prima la musica" at the age of 7, followed by many more in the categories of viola solo, piano solo, and chamber music. Most recently, he was awarded "Bundessieger" in the category Viola, IIIplus and Bundessieger in the category "ensemble kreativ" at prima la musica.

He is a scholarship holder at the Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and participates in the academy's intensive weeks and activities.

Maximilian has successfully performed as a viola soloist with various chamber orchestras such as the "Collegium Musicum St. Gallen" and the Vienna Baroque Ensemble "Vivaldi." In the summer of 2023, he performed in an ensemble in Japan (Osaka and Kyoto).

Maximilian, who also enjoys playing electric guitar in a rock band, attends the Feldkirch Music High School. He studies harpsichord with Johannes Hämmerle at the Stella Private University of Music in Feldkirch and viola with Diemut Poppen at the Zurich University of the Arts.

From May 23 to June 2, Maximilian will be the principal violist at the European Youth Orchestra Academy in Mannheim.
