Biography

Vera Cecino was born in 2004 in Italy. She plays the piano since the age of six with Maddalena De Facci. In 2021, she graduated with the highest grade and commendation at the B. Maderna Conservatory in Cesena. In 2022, she got the Specialization Diploma in the class of Andrzej Jasinski at Accademia del Ridotto, that is now attending in the class of Natalia Trull for the Master’s degree. She is currently specializing with Alessandro Taverna. 

From 2017, she attended masterclasses with eminent pedagogues and pianists like Giampaolo Nuti, Riccardo Risaliti, Andrzej Jasinski, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Rubén Dalibaltayan, Pavel Gililov, Andrea Lucchesini and Alessandro Taverna, among others. She is a scholarship holder of the Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy.

In 2022, Vera won the 1st prize of the “8th Premio Giuseppe Martucci Piano Competition” in Novara, at the “31st Roma International Piano Competition”, at the “6th Colafemmina International Piano Competition” in Acquaviva delle Fonti and at the “Val Tidone International Music Competition” in Piacenza. In 2019, she won the “10th Premio Crescendo” in Firenze, and in 2013 the 1st prize at the "Caesar Franck International Competition” in Brussels, while in 2017, she was semifinalist of the “5th International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists” in Weimar. In 2018, she won the 2ndprize at the “IX Isidor Bajic Piano Memorial” of Novi Sad. 

At the age of 13, Vera made her debut as a soloist with the orchestra, an experience she repeated on several occasions playing music by Haydn, Beethoven and Saint Saëns. Since 2018, she has given solo recitals in numerous contexts including the "Festival delle Nazioni" in Rome, the “Stagione concertistica Katharsis” in Trento, the Triennale in Milano, the Palazzo dei Rettori in Belluno, the Casa Mahler in Sobrio, the "Monferrato Classic Festival", the Sala Eutherpe in León, the Palazzo Cavagnis in Venice, the “Casa della Musica” in Arezzo as well as the Palazzo dei Capitani in Malcesine.

She is attending the annual chamber music course at Fondazione Bon in Tavagnacco with Federica Repini in duo and trio with strings, formations with which she has already performed in some concert series as Carniarmonie and Armonie in cittá in Udine, Festival delle Nazioni in Rome. Previously, she had an intense chamber music activity as piano-duo for five years by which won a lot of prizes in the main Italian competitions.
