Biography

Mattias Antonio Glavinic was born in 2009. He is Italian-Croatian and lives in Italy. He currently attends the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice in the class of Prof. Gianluigi Polli. At the age of twelve, he passed the first level three-year academic piano exam with 30 cum laude.

He attended masterclasses held by Vincenzo Balzani, Roberto Plano, Giuseppe Andaloro, Yuri Bogdanov, Mihkel Poll and Hinko Haas. He’s a scholarship holder of the Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities held by the academy.

For three consecutive years, Mattias won the „Giol Prize“, the competition that rewards the most deserving and talented students of the conservatory. Three years ago, he gave his first solo recital and his first concert with orchestra. He has won more than thirty absolute prizes in national and international competitions. In 2017, he was chosen among the seven pianists that the Pianofriends Association selected for Wunderkinder, a concert dedicated to young pianists in the context of the South Tyrol Festival in the prestigious Gustav Mahler hall in Toblach, in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.

Mattias has given recitals at the Festival Galuppi in the Apollonian Halls of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, at the Festival Musicale delle Nazioni in the Teatro Marcello in Rome, at the Festival Corti, Chiese e Cortili in Bologna, at the Festival Rovinj Art & More in Croatia, at the concert in honor of Marija Trandafil – Ars and femaleas part of Novi Sad European Capital of Culture 2022 (Serbia), at the musical festival A river of notes in Polcenigo and at the Miramare Castle in Trieste, by the Friends of music Giorgio Vianello of Bassano del Grappa, in the Antonio Belloni in Barlassina, at the Teatro degli Industri in Grosseto and in other theaters in Italy and abroad.

He has performed with the Antonio Vivaldi Orchestra of Sondrio, with the Ferruccio Busoni Orchestra of Trieste, the Youth Orchestra of Grosseto, the Ferruccio Benvenuto Busoni Orchestra of Empoli, the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music Benedetto Marcello of Venice and the Orchestra of the Opera b.b. of Zagreb (Croatia).
