Biography
Avalon Stottrop was born in Germany in 2009. He began his violin studies at the age of six at the Berlin City West Music School with Beate Müns.
Since 2023, he has been a student at the renowned Julius Stern Institute for Highly Talented Children at the Berlin University of the Arts, where he is taught by Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg.
In 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023, Avalon won first prizes at the national competition “Jugend Musiziert.” In 2022, he received the Jugend Musiziert Award: A Master Violin for one year.
In 2021, he was a prizewinner at the “conTAKT-Junior Competition.”

In 2020, he was the first violinist to be accepted into the Youth Orchestra of the State Opera Unter den Linden Berlin.
In 2023, Avalon won first prize at the “Young Ludwig Music Competition.”
In 2024, he won first prize at the “Grunewald International Music Competition” and participated in the Geringas Chamber Orchestra Prizewinners' Concert at the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic.
At the “66th Kocian Competition” in 2024, he won second prize in Category IV as well as the Special Prize of the Master Jaroslav Kocian Foundation.
He is a scholarship holder at the Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and participates in the intensive weeks and activities held there.
