Biography

Marinus Kreidt was born in Germany in 1997. He took his first violin lessons from his father Martin Kreidt at the age of five and discovered his passion for the viola in 2018. He has been with the Strings in Motion string academy at the University of Mozarteum Innsbruck since 2016. In 2021, he completed his bachelor's degree in instrumental pedagogy with Prof. Christos Kanettis in Innsbruck. Since autumn 2023, he has been studying viola in the class of Prof. Thomas Riebl at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

He is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy Lichtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy there.

Marinus has already been successful in competitions such as “Jugend Musiziert”.

His tours took him to China and Mexico in 2018, a successful exchange with the Camerata Filarmonica Latinoamericana. He has always been enthusiastic about chamber music and explores works from the baroque to the modern with enthusiasm together with committed musicians.
