Biography
Greta Mandler was born in Germany in 2007. After starting to play the piano at the age of three, she discovered the flute at the age of six.
Greta is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy.
Not only for her flute playing, but also for her piano playing, the young artist was awarded numerous prizes at "Jugend musiziert" at regional, state and federal level in solo and ensemble evaluations. In 2021, she won 1st federal prizes in the "Jugend musiziert" competition in the solo flute category and with her sister Clara in the piano duo category and a woodwind instrument. In addition, the two sisters were awarded the 1st prize at the "Karel Kunc Competition 2021" in Bad Dürkheim and the "Music Prize for Young Talents" of the Rotary Clubs Deidesheim-Mittelhardt and Bad Dürkheim. In 2021, Greta also received a special prize from the "Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben". Greta was honored by the Deutsche Gesellschaft Flöte e.V. for participating in the “3rd International Online Competition for Young Flutists" in 2022. As the only woodwind player, Greta received an invitation to perform in the competition "Concertino Praga - the 56th Antonin Dvorak International Radio Competition for Young Musicians 2022" on the talent stage of the Dvorák Prague International Music Festival 2022. As the youngest prizewinner with the highest number of points at the state level in the "Jugend musiziert" competition, Greta received the "Sponsorship Award of the Savings Banks in Baden Württemberg for outstanding achievements" at the age of ten.

Several concerts with radio recordings by Czech Radio Vltava followed as part of the 54th edition of the South Bohemian Festival.
Greta has been a member of the Baden-Württemberg State Youth Orchestra since 2021. In 2022 she was accepted into the Federal Youth Orchestra.
She’s a scholarship holder of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
