Biography

Igor Šajatovic was born in Zagreb (Croatia) and received his first double bass lessons at the age of twelve. His talent led him to the Academy of Music in Zagreb at the age of fifteen, where he was taught by Prof. Mario Ivelja. In Croatia, he was a prize winner of numerous competitions, in addition to being active as a soloist and chamber musician. In 2016 he came to Germany, where he continued his studies with Prof. Dorin Marc at the Nuremberg University of Music. Shortly after, he became a member of the renowned Ensemble Esperanza from Liechtenstein. Igor is a scholarship holder of the Music Academy in Liechtenstein. Since 2022 he is an academist of the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
