Biography
Moë Dierstein was born in Germany in 2005 into a family of musicians. At the age of three, she received her first violin lessons from Susanne Falk in Freiburg and at the age of six, she was accepted into the Pflugerstiftung Freiburg. There she was supervised by Ariane Mathäus, Prof. Marschner and Prof. Kussmaul. She has been studying as a pre-student at the Musikhochschule Freiburg in the violin class of Prof. Simone Zgraggen since she was eleven years old.
Moë received further musical impulses from Prof. Ingolf Turban, Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Prof. Ulf Hoelscher, Prof. Kolja Blacher, Prof. Gerhard Schulz and Prof. Barbara Doll, among others. She is also a scholarship holder of the Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy.

Since 2013, Moë has consistently won numerous 1st prizes with the highest scores at regional, state and federal level in "Jugend Musiziert". In 2020, she won a special prize at "WESPE". In 2019, the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben awarded her the renowned "Eduard Söring Prize" for her outstanding performance in the strings category. She also won the "Semesterstudienpreis" from the Society for the Promotion of the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg and was a semi-finalist at the "Louis Spohr Violin Competition" in Weimar in 2019. She also received the "Gold Award" at the "British Young Talent Competition" and at the "International Competition Musica Goritiensis" for violin a 2nd prize (the 1st prize was not awarded). She won the 3rd prize at the “Tibor Junior Violin Competition 2021” in Sion, as well as the 2nd prize and several special prizes at the “International Competition Kloster Schöntal” in 2022. Most recently, in 2022, she won the 2ndprize at the "Louis Spohr International Competition for Violin", as well as the special prize for the best interpretation of a Mozart sonata.
Moë took part in the Kronberg Academy master class 2021 and the Mit Musik-Miteinander project 2022 and received an invitation to the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival for the summer of 2022.
She has been a permanent member of the Baden-Württemberg State Youth Baroque Orchestra since 2018 and has been permanent concertmaster since 2021.
Since 2019, Moë has been generously supported as a scholarship holder by the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, for example through the Gerd Buccherius scholarship. In 2019, the Baden-Württemberg State Foundation made a violin from their collection available to her.
Since the summer of 2019, the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben has provided her with a violin by Giovanni Grancino from the year 1731 from the German Musical Instrument Fund.
