Biography

Oleksandr Fediurko was born in Ukraine in 2010. At the age of five, he entered the music school in the piano class of Halyna Koziuba. Besides music, he is interested in reading books and playing Lego. 

He is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy. 

At the age of six, Oleksandr began to take part in piano competitions. He is a laureate of numerous Ukrainian and international piano competitions. His most recent success is 1st prize at the “International Bela Bartok Piano Competition in Graz 2024. In 2023, he won the 1st prize at the “International César Franck Piano Competition” in Kraainem, Belgium. In 2021, he won 1st prizes at the “Val de Travers International Online Piano Competition”, at the “Euregio Piano Award International Online Piano Competition”, at the “International Competition for Young Piano Players Amadeus” in the Czech Republic, at the “International Piano Competition Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte” in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic (also 2018) as well as the 2nd prize at the “International Online Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz” in the junior group. In 2020, he won two 1st prizes in the competitions “International Online Piano Competition for European Youth EUPLAYY” and “International Online Piano Competition #StayHome Young”. Between 2016 and 2019, Oleksandr won 1st prizes at the “International Competition for Young Pianists of Volodymyr Krainev” (category Debut) in Ukraine, at the “International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz” (categories A and C) in Ukraine, at the “International Piano Competition Merci, Maestro!” in Belgium, the 2nd prize at the “62. International Piano Competition in honor of Clara Schumann Grotrian-Steinweg” Germany and at the “International Competition for Young Piano Players Amadeus” in the Czech Republic as well as the Grand Prix at the “International Piano Talents Piano Competition” in Italy.

Oleksandr has performed at international festivals such as the South Tyrol Festival, the Rethinking Europe Festival in Sweden and the Starnberger Musiktage in Germany. He gave concerts in 2023 in the lecture hall of the Tonhalle Zurich, in the Villa Rachmaninoff in Hertenstein, Switzerland (2021, 2023), in 2022 in the glass hall of the Tallinn Singers' Field in Tallinn, Estonia, and in the chamber music hall of the Beethoven House in Bonn, Germany. He performed in the Mahler Hall at the Wunderkinder concert, performed twice in the Steinway Piano Gallery in Stockholm, in the Stockholm Palace, in the Antonio Belloni Theater in Italy and in the Fountain Courtyard of the Munich Residence. 

Oleksandr is a scholarship holder of the Presidential Foundation of Leonid Kuchma “Ukraine”.
