Biography

Julia-Xiaozhuo Wang began playing the violin at the age of three. From the age of 12, she started her studies in Vienna.

In 2025, she won Second Prize at the Copper International Violin Competition as well as the Benjamin Prize of the Bösch Private Foundation. In 2024, she was a prizewinner at the Stuttgart International Violin Competition, where she was the youngest finalist.

In 2023, she received the highest award at the 5th International Zhuhai Mozart Competition.

In 2022, she won First Prize at the 16th International Arthur Grumiaux Competition and was a finalist and special prize winner at the International String Competition “Classical Strings,” where she was also the youngest participant.

In 2021, she won Third Prize at the International Wieniawski-Lipinski Violin Competition and Second Prize at the International Ernst & Szymanowski Violin Competition. She also won First Prize at the Fengling Cup National Youth Violin Competition and the Gold Medal at the HaiQu National Violin Competition.

Julia has collaborated with several renowned orchestras, including the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, the Armenian National Symphony Orchestra, the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and the Arigoni Orchestra.

She has performed with many distinguished artists, including Ariel Zuckermann, Sergey Symbatyan, Giancarlo Guarino, Norman Huynh, and Jasminka Stancul.

Her solo concerts have taken place at numerous international music festivals, including a collaboration with the Armenian National Symphony Orchestra at the International Music Festival in Armenia, the ISA International Music Festival, the ORF charity concert “Licht ins Dunkel,” and the Windsor International Music Festival in Great Britain.
