Biography
British pianist Nicolas Absalom was born in Belgium in 1999. At the age of six, he received his first piano lessons. At the age of 13, he was offered a place as a young talent at Chethams School of Music in Manchester and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. In the latter he completed a four-year piano course in the class of Prof. Johan Schmidt. Since October 2017, Nicolas has been studying at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar with Prof. Christian Wilm Müller, with whom he has been continuing his master's degree since 2021. In addition, he is very interested in chamber music, song interpretation and historical performance practice.

He receives a scholarship from the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive music weeks and activities that take place there.
Nicolas has won numerous national and international competitions. In 2020, he was a finalist at the "International Competition for Ostracized Music Schwerin". He received the 3rd place in 2021 at the "International Carl Maria von Weber Competition" in Dresden.
Nicolas regularly takes part in music festivals such as the Euregio Rhein-Waal Student Music Festival and the Kleve Piano Summer, where he has given numerous concerts in the Netherlands and Germany. In March 2022, he played as part of the Passion:SPIEL festival for innovative music theater at the German National Theater in Weimar.
From 2019 to 2020, Nicolas received support from the Thomas Harris International Piano Foundation, leading to performances in the UK, including at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge. In 2022, he was accepted as a scholarship holder at Live Music Now in Weimar.
