Biography
Andrey Zenin was born in 1995 in Russia. He started his piano studies at the Rostov State Rachmaninov Conservatoire with Rimma Skorokhodova and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow with Graeme McNaught. He is now a student of Balazs Szokolay and Thomas Steinhöfel at the Franz Liszt Hochschule für Musik in Weimar.
He is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities there.
Andrey has won prizes in numerous competitions, including the 1st prize in the “Skavronsky Inspiration International Competition” in Volgodonsk, the 3rd prize in the “Semyon Benditsky Piano Competition” in Saratov, the 2nd prize in the “Moscow International Fryderyk Chopin Competition for Young Pianists” and the 1st prize in the “Musica Classica Festival” in Moscow. He was semifinalist at the “Hamamatsu International Piano Competition” in 2018 and was qualified for the main stage of the “18th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition” in Warsaw 2021.

Andrey has performed in many countries, including with the symphony orchestras of Sochi Philharmonic and the Fryderyk Chopin Moscow State College of Music Performance.
He has received scholarships from the President and the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Academic Council of the Rostov Conservatoire, as well as the Charlotte-Krupp Stipendium in Weimar.
