Biography

Daniel Mieczkowski was born in 1999 in Poland. He is a student of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the symphony-opera conducting class of Monika Wolinska (2nd year of master studies) and flute class of Agata Igras (1st year of master degree). 

He took part in several masterclasses with Peter Lukas Graf, Michael Martin Kofler, Andras Adorjan, Philippe Bernold, Carlos Bruneel, Sarah Louvion, Niccola Mazzanti and Giovanni Gandolfo. He receives a scholarship from the Liechtenstein International Music Academy and takes part in the intensive music weeks and activities that take place there.

Despite his young age, Daniel successfully took part as a flutist and conductor in many competitions. His the most important successes are the 2nd prize at the “17th Friedrich Kuhlau International Flute Competition” in Uelzen (Germany, 2017), the 3rd prize at the “25th Leos Janacek International Competition” in Brno (Czech Republic, 2019), the 1st prize and the special prize for the best performance of a contemporary piece at the “1st International Eugeniusz Towarnicki Flute Competition for Students” in Poznan (Poland, 2021) and the 1st prize and the symphony orchestra prize in the “3rdAdam Kopycinski Conducting Competition” in Wroclaw.  

Daniel gave concerts in Poland, Germany, Austria, Lithuania, Serbia, Romania, Hungary, Estonia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and USA. As an orchestra member, he collaborated with the Sinfonia Iuventus, the Polish National Radio Orchestra and the International Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra.
