Biography

Manon Gayet was born in 1996 in France. She began to play the flute at the age of seven in a little music school in the south west of France. She studied in the Conservatoire de Toulouse where she obtained her DEM (Diploma of music studies) before going to study with Pascale Feuvrier in the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison. In 2018, she started her Bachelor of music at the HEM of Geneva in the class of Michel Bellavance. In 2021, she also started to study at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Michael M. Kofler.

Manon is a recipient of a scholarship from the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities held by the academy.

Manon is very interested in orchestra playing and played with youth orchestras such as Orchestre Sostenuto, Orchestre de la Francophonie and Orchestre Français des Jeunes. For the season 2021-2022 she is academist in the orchestra of the Musikkollegium Winterthur in Switzerland.

In 2020, she founded the Duo Rosae with her harpist friend Eloïse Fares. They performed several times in the region of Geneva and have the same desire to continue this adventure with further projects.
