Biography
Kasparas Mikužis was born in 2001 in Lithuania. He was introduced to the piano at the age of six when he began studying with Liudmila Kašetiene at the Šilute Arts School. Afterwards, he studied at the National M.K. Ciurlionis School of Arts and was furthering his musical education at the Purcell School with Justas Dvarionas. At the moment, he’s studying at the Royal Academy of Music with pianist Diana Ketler.
Kasparas has participated in various masterclasses with great pianists, including Grigory Gruzman, William Fong, Pavel Nersessian, Muza Rubackyte and Uta Weyand. He is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities there.

Kasparas is a laureate of 22 international competitions, including the Grand Prix at the “10th International Balys Dvarionas Competition for Young Pianists” in his home country Lithuania and a double 1st prize at the “28th Roma International Piano Competition”, where he achieved 1st prizes in both categories up to 19 and 25 years. For representing Lithuania on an international stage, he was awarded a letter of gratitude by the president of republic of Lithuania.
Kasparas’ distinctive piano playing was acknowledged when he became a scholar of ‘SOS Talents’ foundation at the age of ten. Since then, he started performing across Europe, continuing to do so up to this day. He has performed at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva on multiple occasions, as well as at EMMA for peace World Summit of the Nobel Prize Peace Laureates concert in Warsaw. In 2018, he was invited to the opening concert of the V. Krainev Competition in Kharkiv, where he performed Prokofiev’s 3rd piano concerto. He has also performed in the national Lithuanian philharmonic hall, the Fazioli Concert Hall in Italy, gave a recital at the Steinway Hall in Barcelona and performed at the season opening concert of the Kharkiv Philharmonic Hall with the Kharkiv Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and conductor Yuri Yanko. He performed on stages of Wigmore hall, Purcell Room and Concertgebouw Hall. Recently, he was invited to play for Sir Andras Schiff in the Riga Jurmala Music Festival masterclass. Other forthcoming engagements include a recital at the Bridgewater hall in Manchester in the 2021-22 season.
In 2018, Kasparas released his debut CD. His performances were televised on Mezzo TV, recordings were played on national Lithuanian radio and Radio Classique in France.
