Biography
Ignacio Sánchez Zanón was born in Spain in 2002. He began his horn studies in the Musical Society La artística de Buñol with Juan Luis Pallás Lambies. Later, he entered the professional conservatory of music Mariano Pérez Sánchez in Requena with Miguel Martínez Megías, finishing with the highest average. In 2020, he began his higher studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del País Vasco, Musikene, with Rodolfo Epelde, Óscar Sala and Estefanía Beceiro. In 2021, he joined the Horn Chair at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía with professors Radovan Vlatkovic and Rodolfo Epelde, where he received scholarships from Havas Group and Fundación Albéniz.

Ignacio has participated in master classes with well-known trumpet players such as Lawrence Woudenberg, Juan Manuel Gómez, José Chanzá, Maria Rubio, José Luis Sogorb, José Vicente Castelló, Jesús Sánchez, Bernardo Cifres, among others. He also receives a scholarship from the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive music weeks and activities that take place there.
In 2019, he won the absolute prize in the soloist competition "Luis Ayllón" of La Artística de Buñol.
Ignacio has collaborated in different projects with the Sinfonietta de Bilbao and the Ensemble Praeteritum. He has also played in different national and international Youth Orchestra festivals such as the Neue Philharmonie München, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Castellón and EGO (Youth Orchestra of the Basque Country). In 2021, he premiered David Rivas Dominguez's concerto "De amore et mortis" for solo horn and band, with the Banda de Música Ciudad de Oviedo.
